Metropolitan police revealed new episodes of fraud in the case of deceiving pensioners with shares of PJSC Sol Rusi, a law enforcement source told TASS on Saturday.
“Five more episodes of fraud in the Soli Rusi case have been identified, the damage for them is about 7.5 million rubles,” the agency’s source said.
Earlier it was reported that the Moscow police opened a criminal case on deceiving pensioners for more than 13.3 million rubles with investments in the shares of the company PJSC “Sol Rusi”.
Unidentified defendants informed the elderly about the alleged construction of a rock salt plant by the Sol Rusi company at the Belbazhskoye deposit in the Nizhny Novgorod region at the expense of attracted funds and offered to purchase its shares with the possibility of making a profit of 18% per annum and repurchase.
From October 2016 to August 2018, in the “City of Capitals” complex on Presnenskaya embankment and in the administrative building on Bolshaya Ordynka, agreements were concluded with at least 9 pensioners for the purchase of shares for amounts ranging from 150 thousand to 5.5 million rubles. The money received was stolen. The damage exceeded 13.3 million rubles. A criminal case of fraud has been initiated.
