The statistics on the incidence of coronavirus in Moscow continues to deteriorate rapidly.
In five days, the number of new cases of Covid-19 jumped 80% and reached highs in almost six months, and the number of hospitalizations increased by 30% in a week and also returned to the peaks of winter.
Over the past day, 5245 cases of infection were recorded in the capital, the operational headquarters reported on Thursday.
The incidence curve steeply soared up: the day before, the headquarters reported 4124 cases, two days ago – 3817 new cases, on June 7 – 3266 cases, on June 6 recorded 2936 cases.
For the third day in a row, the number of hospitalized with Covid-19 in Moscow exceeds 1.5 thousand people. Over the past week, more than 9 thousand were hospitalized, which is a third more than in the previous 7 days.
In general, in Russia over the past day, 11699 cases were detected (a new maximum since mid-March) against 10407 the day before and 9977 two days earlier.
Against the background of the worsening epidemic situation, the Moscow authorities are not planning a new lockdown, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said yesterday.
They intend to fight the third wave in the capital with fines and control. Since Wednesday, measures to check the use of personal protective equipment by citizens “in public places, including in public transport, the subway, in shopping and entertainment centers, as well as in other places of public gathering,” said the Minister of the Government of Moscow, the head of the Main Control Department. city Evgeny Danchikov.
For violation by citizens of the established requirements, fines from 4 to 5 thousand rubles are provided, he recalled.
“Also, control over enterprises and organizations that do not comply with sanitary nomes and rules will be strengthened. Special attention will be paid to shopping and entertainment centers, cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as summer verandas at them, nightclubs and concerts, ”Danchikov said.
He recalled that for the violations identified, legal entities face a fine of 300 thousand to 1 million rubles, and in the event of a repeated violation, the suspension of activities for up to 90 days.
