Primorye legislator Andrei Ishchenko was admitted to the regional clinical psychiatric hospital shortly after he accused the current governor of the region, Oleg Kozhemyako, of corruption.
The hospitalization of Ishchenko, a former candidate for governor from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, citing sources, reported the local edition vl.ru. The same information to Otrytym Media was confirmed by one of the deputies of the Communist Party faction of the regional parliament, in which Ishchenko is a member.
“Andrei Sergeevich, frankly speaking, has been out of his mind lately. These are his posts on Instagram, he was going to fight with someone … I hope they will help him, ”said Ishchenko’s colleague.
According to sources vl.ru, relatives were sent to the hospital.
On May 8, a video was posted on Ishchenko’s Instagram (it has now been deleted), judging by which his car got into an accident. On the video, you can hear Ishchenko talking on the phone with the officer on duty of the regional police department, asking him to call the speaker of the Primorsky ZakSa Alexander Rolik and report the incident to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, as well as send a helicopter. Ishchenko was sure that the accident had been set up by the police.
A week before that, Ishchenko had already made it into the news bulletins. On May 2, he published a video in which he claimed that the head of Primorye, Oleg Kozhemyako, in 2018, being a candidate for this position, offered him a bribe of $ 2 million for refusing to fight for the governor’s seat.
Later, Ishchenko claimed that operational-search measures were being carried out at his request and that he was “prohibited” from commenting.
