In the summer season of 2021, Russian summer residents face fines for the presence of daisies and dandelions on the site, Tatyana Matsukova, a lawyer of Genesis, told RIA Novosti.
Plants traditional for central Russia were included in the list of dangerous pests and weeds.
“The list of weeds is determined by the decree of the government of the Russian Federation of September 18, 2020 No. 1482. Weed plants include, in particular, Sosnovsky’s hogweed, field mint, sow thistle, medicinal dandelion, fragrant chamomile, thistles of various species, ragweed of various species,” she listed Matsukov.
For violation of the rules for combating these plants, the law provides for liability in the form of a warning or an administrative fine – from 300 to 500 rubles for individuals, from 500 to a thousand rubles for officials and from 5 to 10 thousand rubles for legal entities.
Failure to act is also considered an offense when the owner of the site, for example, does not use the correct chemicals to kill weeds or does not remove them mechanically.
